Create and delete credentials in Object Storage

Object Storage credentials consist of an Access key ID and a Secret access key. You manage them through credential groups in the STACKIT Portal.

Prerequisites

• Object Storage enabled in your project: Enable Object Storage

Create credentials

1. In the STACKIT Portal, open your project.
2. In the sidebar, select Object Storage - Credentials & Groups.
3. Select an existing credential group to open its General information view.
4. In the navigation bar on the right, select the Credentials tab.
5. Select Create credentials.
6. A dialog opens showing your new Access key ID and Secret access key.
7. Save both values now.

You can not retrieve the Secret access key again after closing the dialog. Store it in a secure location immediately.

Your credentials appear in the credentials list.

Delete credentials

Deleted credentials cannot be restored. Make sure you are deleting the correct credentials before confirming.

1. In the STACKIT Portal, open your project.
2. In the sidebar, select Object Storage - Credentials & Groups.
3. Select the credential group containing the credentials you want to delete.
4. In the navigation bar on the right, select the Credentials tab.
5. At the end of the row, select the three-dot menu (⋮), then select Delete.
6. In the confirmation dialog, select Delete to confirm, or Cancel to abort.
